About

Marieh Mehran has completed her master's degree in architecture & urban planning at UCLA under supervision of Pritzker Prize–winning architect, Thom Mayne. Prior to this, she has completed her undergraduate studies in architecture in which was followed by a master’s degree in landscape architecture at the University of Tehran. She has passed all 6 divisions of Architectural Registration Exams to become a licensed architect in the United States.

During her master's studies at UCLA, Marieh worked on projects for companies such as Tesla, BMW, Hyperloop Transportation Technologies. She was a part of The NOW Institute team, working on sustainable LA 2050 project, in collaboration with UCLA Grand Challenges group.

Trained in Los Angeles, working with architecture and construction firms, Marieh has the experience of working on a wide range of projects including mixed-use buildings, residential developments, cultural center and commercial buildings.

Her works has been featured in Dwell on Design, Wall Street Journal, CNN and UCLA Magazine, just to mention a few.

Considering the necessities of contemporary life, surrounding context and site history Marieh's work emphasizes on designing sustainable eco-freindly buildings that are as programmatically and technically creative as they are cost conscious.
